Most of us know the Roman Goddess Eris (‘Dischordia’ in Greek mythology), as the Goddess of CHAOS, DISCHORD & STRIFE. Eris or Dischordia is most renowned for gate crashing a high class wedding and ruining it with her ‘victim terrorist’ antics and in so doing catalysed a string of events that led to the Trojan War! A karmic shitshow of the highest order! All because she wasn’t invited to the wedding!

The ‘Catch 22’ being, that nobody in the right mind would invite DISCHORD to their very special day (their wedding) yet, as this awesome parabel teaches us, that IN ORDER TO AVERT A WAR, IT IS WISE TO INVITE A DEGREE OF CHAOS, STRIFE & DISCHORD to our most cherished engagements, spaces, processes, relationships etc..!

You see, if the wedding planner knew this ahead of time, they might have realised that it was better to invite Eris to the wedding and treat her like the Goddess she is! Then, maybe just maybe, she may have manifested as ‘that drunk relative at the wedding that can be a bit of a situation but relatively harmless’ and no threat to the day, let alone the destiny of the people!

A small price to pay, wouldn’t you say?
